As a huge fan of iconic artist Keith Haring, I reimagined what it would be like if he had designed the artwork for some of the most influential albums ever made, Keiths 12 inch collection was born!
Meat Is Murder is the second studio album by The Smiths, released in 1985. It marked a significant evolution in the band's sound and lyrical content. Featuring Morrissey's poignant lyrics and Johnny Marr's innovative guitar work, the album confronts themes like vegetarianism, societal oppression, and education. The title track, a powerful anti-meat anthem, sparked intense debate and remains iconic for its advocacy. Other standout tracks include “The Headmaster Ritual,” critiquing authoritarian schooling, and “How Soon Is Now?” celebrated for its brooding atmosphere. Meat Is Murder cemented The Smiths' reputation as politically and emotionally resonant artists, influencing alternative music worldwide.
